In July our club participated in the annual Children's Celebration at Island Park in Springfield. We had a booth manned by some of our members and they helped kids use metal detectors to dig in a make-shift sandbox to find coins. It was a big hit with the kids and great PR for the club! Sophia won the drawing for a 1922 Silver Dollar!
